VCMC Track Day #1 Recap

VCMC hosted its first track day of 2011 at Mission Raceway Park this past Thursday. There was no shortage of vehicular eye-candy for participants to oggle between sessions, including some rarely seen GT3 RS's and a Scuderia 16M. A dozen novices paired up with senior drivers for orientation and by the day's end impressed their instructors with their new-found confidence and line choices around the circuit.

Going into the day with a less than ideal weather forecast, drivers were thankful to get two dry morning sessions before the first drops started to fall for the final three sessions. By the end of the day, the Mission weather diety turned on the taps leaving us with a very slick track. Fortunately drivers adjusted quickly to the conditions and everyone enjoyed a safe and incident-free day.
