  • May Members' Meeting

With no less than 4 VCMC events in April, many of us are shaking off the rust and getting out of our pre-season form. If you want to fast track this improvement, however, data logging is one of the invaluable tools available to help us scrutinize our driving.

For our May tech session, Mike Marich of Petrel Data Systems is going to give us an overview on how we can start tapping into the powers of data loggers. We will look at the equipment involved, how to analyze lines, forces, driver inputs, compare runs, etc. Furthermore, Mike will give us a preview of SoloStorm -- Petrel's flagship data logging product soon to be available on Android phones.

    Date: Tuesday, May 1, 2012
    Time: 7pm

Location: Room 1231, Douglas College, New Westminster campus, 700 Royal Ave, New Westminster

    Parking at Douglas:
There are metered street parking on 8th Street, Royal, 7th Street, and Agnes, but they are all free after 6pm. 8th and 7th are on a serious incline, while Royal and Agnes are relatively flat. With the winter semester over, street parking should be easier to find, with spots on 8th Street being a distinct possibility. Both the north and south sides of Royal remain your best chance of find free parking, but there'd be some walking involved if you parked your car there. If you don't mind paying for parking, the entrance to the parkade is on Victoria St, near the intersection with Lome St. It's $3 for the evening.

If you get into the College from the entrance facing 8th Street at the 1000 level, you'll see the Bookstore. The gym (and our room) is on the left side when you are looking at the Bookstore. If you walked into the concourse area, you are 1 floor too high.
