  • Interested in driving the track.

Hi there just registered for an account here. Wondering who’s best to talk to about getting some track time. And what the process is to be able to.

    Hello and welcome to VCMC~!

If you are looking for some seat time in a lapping day / HPDE type of setting, you've come to the right place! (sort of...)

Our Track Day section of the forum already contains a number of sticky posts regarding some general information that you may find useful. Unfortunately, the pandemic has really thrown a wrench into our regular motorsports season, but for the time being, I'd encourage you to keep an eye out for our Aug 10 lapping day at Mission Raceway Park. Registration for that opens on July 1 @ 12pm here

Normally, VCMC has a very strong track program that caters to both novices and advanced drivers. Again, because of the pandemic, we are in the process of figuring out what we can do to accommodate novice drivers. So if you can share with us what kind of motorsports background and experience you may have, that would make it easier for us to make the most appropriate recommendations. But generally speaking, novice (track) drivers will be placed under instructor supervision to ensure everyone's safety on track, as well as showing the novice drivers the ropes on introductory track driving. Run groups are organized based on driver skills and awareness.

So please poke around in the Track Day section to see if those other posts would already answer some of your questions, and if anything else comes up, feel free to post away either back in this thread, or in another other thread that is already discussing a similar topic!

Hope to see you at an upcoming event!
