  • CAC Car Numbers and Class Letters Available

    Hello all,

Blitzgear (www.blitzgear.com) is making the numbers and class letter (per spec: http://www.vcmc.ca/cac/car_num.html) for the events. For single driver cars, you'll get 2 numbers and class letters printed on the number plates. For two-driver cars, an extra "blocking panel" in white vinyl will be included to cover up the "1" when alternate drivers are running. The pricing is as follows:

Single Driver (2 x number plates, 2 x sets of numbers, 2 x sets of class letters) - $15 (plus applicable taxes)

Dual Driver (2 x number plates, 2 x sets of numbers, 2 x strips of blocking panels, 2 x sets of class letters) - $20 (plus applicable taxes)

You can arrange to pick-up the numbers/plates directly at Blitzgear. However, if you prefer, please leave a post here and I can pick them up for distribution during the event weekend. They are located in Richmond - see link above for their address. While you are there, you can specify alternate options directly with Blitzgear (e.g. changing the plates to magnetic vinyl).

    Thanks.

    -Hedwig Poon

The basic CACC requirements do not meet the SCCA minimum requirements.

I got my numbers printed to make the SCCA minimums. I'll let you know tomorrow if they will fit the white placeards.

Re: CAC Car Numbers and Class Letters Available

The official number plates are 13 inches wide by 15.5 inches high. There is a black ring around the border that makes the center of the plates 12.25 inches wide. Minus the Motus logo on the top and the Autoslom logo on the botom, you have 9 5/8 inches on the right and 8 inches on the left side as the Autosalom's pointer cone is taller than the word Autoalom.

CACC requires the numbers to be 2.5 cm wide and 15 cm high, while SCCA requires the numbers to be 8 inches high and 1.25 inches wide while the class letters have to be 4 inches high and 0.75 inches wide.

            Sorry I'm a little confused
Do our numbers have to go on this white placard?
My numbers are white along with most others
            White on a white background?
I suppose there will be dark numbers for sale on site?
They will be useless afterwards as they will not show up on a red car

If you already have your own numbers, you will be able to cut the provided panel and attache the logo parts to the side of your car.

If you don't already have numbers, we highly recommend that you go through the route of having Blitz Gear prepare them for you.

Could you possibly take some pics with your SCCA size numbers on it & post here? Did you get a magnetic placard? Cost?

                      Thnx!

                          Thanks for the pics!

Are those numbers magnetic, "static cling" vinyl, glued on......

I've never used numbers before so that's why I'm asking all these questions. I guess the big placard thing is a big magnet?

                          Thanks!
