  • Volunteers for Closed Club # 3 April 14th

    Hi Everyone,

Closed Club # 3 will be held April 14th the day after our Velocity Driving School, this will be a great opportunity for some extra seat time to hone the new skills aquired from Saturday's school!

This Closed Club is also going to be an opportunity to train more members for various key jobs:

    - Chief of RT&S, registration, timing and scoring.
    - Chief of Workers, how to apportion duties.
    - Chief of Tech, how to manage a team of tech. inspectors.
    - Event Organizer, what's involved in running an event.
    - Gridperson, how best to handle the cars and drivers.
    - Announcer, how to be a great announcer.

If you are interested in working with someone to learn more about these jobs, please reply to this thread: http://www.vcmc.ca/cgi-bin/ultimateb...&f=11&t=000050

Cliff Loh will be looking after Course Setup for both days as well as training some of his students to do Tech for both days. Also we will need someone to look after Course Clean-up after Sunday's event.

    Thanks,

    Guido
    Competition Director,
    VCMC Motorsport Club

    Hi Guido,

Put me down for something, grid, tech, some announcing etc. I don't know how the registration and timing systems work yet.

I would love a chance to learn some of the other positions such as timing, CoW etc. but I wont be able to attend this event as I will be at a CSCC event on the same day. Will you be continuing this offer at later closed clubs?

I'll help out with tech. Can't do much for the clean up this time as the Radio Flyer has room for 3 cones.

Hi Guido, I think I could help out with tech on both days. Also, if Cliff needs some help on course setup, I could help as well. But do we need to setup anything on Friday before the school? If that's the case, I think I can't be there anytime before 7pm on Friday.

Actually the thanks in this department should go to Alex Chiu, Bernie Chiu, Ken Seto and the Velocity instructors that helpd w/ initial setup on Saturday morning.

                  -c.
