Renting VCMC Cones Sunday

With half dozen autocross clubs I thought it was going to be easy to rent cones for an autocross practice Sunday at Bremerton. But multiple events, and clubs sharing cones have made this harder than I thought.

So is it possible for our club to rent VCMC's cones for an event Sunday?

BSCC has a race on the other side of Bremerton the same day. Porsche club shares the same cones. WWSCC shares their cones with Boeing who has a school on the same day. NWR/SCCA ... still working on, but that may not be available. So it's a bit harder than I thought to get cones.&lt;s&gt;

Hi Jeff,

We currently have 85 good cones and have another 150 on the way from the supplier. They won't arrive in time for your event. We have to ensure that our members are able to attend a safe and enjoyable event. A big part of that is how cones are used in the course and safety zones. If for some reason, we don't receive our shipment of cones and assuming you guys bash up a few cones (totally reasonable), we could have a situation where our members cannot be served in the best possible way.

In light of that, the membership as a whole must come first and for this occassion, due to our low cone count and the needs for our upcoming event, I don't believe that we will be able to assist you. That does not preclude assisting you in the future however, where the situation may be different.

I've seen soccer teams have those little cones during practice...try kid's soccer leagues. Of course, you'll have a lot of crying 6-yr olds if you took those.

Cone alternatives:
Hay Bales
or for the masochists... buckets filled with concrete.. like the old days.

Thanks for getting back to me. I found a local place that rents cones (and sells them) so we're OK.

When we do Boundary Bay events though, I'll be checking back with you.&lt;s&gt;
