Or come down to Bellingham and try a Chuckanut event. From what I have seen over the last couple of years, until recently they were miles beyond the Canadian clubs in organization and you get free doughnuts!

Every club is different but all three that I have done events with contained great, friendly people (Well...except for that jerk driving the white CStock Miata. At least that is what Artemis tells me....) which is one of the main draws of this sport.

Each club has their own unique style about their events. Some prefer the VCMC way, some prefer the BCMA way.

When I started autocrossing, I found the BCMA events to be more organized and logical. The same is being said of VCMC events by others. I doubt that one club is "better" than another - it all depends on what you're used to.

Regardless of what club you belong to, we are all in this sport because we love to race. If we start slamming clubs because of what we don't like, we are not furthering the sport and fostering the "family atmosphere" that new folks really notice about the events.

Put the differences aside, and just enjoy what each club has to offer to the sport. There are different emphases, different theories, different philososophies, but we all love cars and love going fast. Keep the sport fun!

Actually Cliff, everyone there was a BCMA member, so actually they were "our guys too"!!
On behalf of the BCMA, I apologize for the lack of results posted for the last two events. Aparently for whatever reason we are not using the CACC supplied program on our computer or something like that and so we have not been able to easily upload the data to our web site. I have just talked to Campbell about this embarrasing lack of attention and will push for it to be corrected. But in case anyone hadn't figured it out, we are more of a "Blue Collar" crowd, I mean most of the active members of BCMA don't sit in front of a computer all day and so we will probably always be a little slower to post results and write little stories about how an event went etc.

Yeah, when are they gonna post the results up from the 21st event?

i like the course but how the event was run really made me happy i was apart of VCMC! One thing i liked about the BCMA Event was the time clock, made it nice to see your time if you didn't catch it from the announcer

Actually I thought it was about 56 seconds long

It was a fun course - about 55 seconds long. There were some parts that were quick...2nd gear rev limiter and supposedly that was already "slowed down" a bit.
