Hi all,
Cliff mentioned that I should bring up the CAWC event in Red Deer.
We have secured the Westerner grounds in Red Deer for June 14 (Friday - test 'n tune) and June 15/16 for a 2-day Western Canadian Championship to be run under the CNAC rules.
It is a very large lot (almost 1/4 mile wide by approx. 5-600 feet deep) we have used over the previous few years for our largest 2-day events. According to Alan Rae (Caterham 7), it is as good as anything he has run on in the SCCA. We are anticipating a larger turn-out this year...perhaps in the 100 range from Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary and from BC, of course.
If you want to compare yourself to the rest of Western Canada, this is your chance. We are making it the absolute highest calibre event that we can from every perspective including course design, trophies etc. A committee specifically dedicated to the event has been meeting for a few months already.
The registration forms are on-line so the entries can begin at any time including VISA entries.
Please check out the web site at:
www.CNACsolo.ca and click on the Western Championship at the bottom of the main page. We are continuing to update the data as fast as we can.
If you have any questions, please feel free to fire questions my way!
