Knox Mountain Day 2 results

I just got off the phone with Farz when he handed me the new times and a few interesting stories.

Apparently during his first run of the day he was going completely sideways through the one of the straights. Not too bad considering he still made his fastest time of the weekend. He is currently placed 2nd in his class.

Scary moment for Johnny as he had a crash on turn 8. Both Johnny and the car are fine, and it looks like he will still be running later on today.

Peter did not run due to possible clutch problems.

Sorry about the crappy writeup, but I'm kind of a rush. Hopfully those guys will be able to fill us in with more details when the return. Until then, GOOD LUCK!

Next set of results will be posted later on this afternoon.

damn Farzaan and Darren got way faster times. I hope Farz is first on his class. Joe's time seems pretty quick too. Was he able to be first in his class?

Times are updated once again..

Joe has now improved to 1:43.834
and Peter got his car fixed in time to run a faster 2:10.321

Unfortunately Darren crashed his last run. Luckily everyone is okay.

Johnny will end the weekend with a 2:05.564

I believe Farz placed first in class, but is still unofficial. Hopefully we get final detail when the get back!

I'm curious to see how far off the mountain record Joe was.

well, the mountain record is around 1:42, so he is not off too far, around 1sec

Curtis's white mustang clipped a pole and the right rear wheel assembly is dead.

Johnny spun out @ turn 7/8, did little damage to the rear spoiler and fender, was still able to run after the incident.

The silver Rx-7 spun out @ turn 3, 2 huge rocks stopped it from rolling down the cliff. -as seen in the picture. Don't know the driver.

Congrat to Farz for his excellent NOVICE performance, and Joe scraped off 8/9 seconds in the last run! These guys have BALLS

Since there is a bit of hill at the start line, for cars to be able to let go of the brakes at the start and work on the clutch and gas, they both the block behind the car, so it doesn't roll down.
