What did the course look like?

Looked pretty technical considering the amount of dnfs and cones?

Picture a looong slalom from the start all the way to the back of the lot. Then a few sweepers, one crossover and back, then more slaloming until the end. IMO the course was not fun at all.

Well if you consider the crossover as a slalom since it kinda lookes like a big one, then you had like 15slalom, a sweeper another 10 slalom, a sweeper, and finally another 15 slalom passing the finish line.

Yep, it was very challanging yesterday, but not in a particularily exciting or fun way... it was the slow, tight nature of the course.

True...that makes it even more depressing.

First off I'd like to tip my hat to all the people who had clean runs and to those who actually finished their runs. Unlike me, this is the first course that I dumped all my runs...I guess there is a first for everything! So I guess I got my *** kicked by this course. IMO this course sucked but I'm not going to blame the course design on my horrid driver's error.
Oh well this one's a complete write off!

Hey Lawrence, thanks for the quick results. When will the Novice championship be updated?

As for the course, I liked it. Even though it wasn't big-car friendly.

Some parts were really slow. I considered shifting into first in that sharp turn into the last crossover, but I'm still working on the left-foot braking technique and moving back to the clutch and doing a heel-toe was too easy to screw-up. Did anybody shift to first? Why/why not?

I saw many cars shift into 1st at that turn and it seemed to really disrrupt the balance of the car. They also had the times to prove that it was not worth it!
But as for one Civic, I believe that he did the entire course in 1st gear!

i enjoyed the course actually! it was very miata-friendly i think and i was wot in several places where some of the larger cars seemed to only be half throttle...the longer lap definetly made for more of a workout and was an excellent test of ones ability to maintain focus! (no not just you mitch :P ). looking waaaay ahead was definetly vital on that track as well

Like Yarko I enjoyed the course it was also Boxster friendly, lots of transitions, and the slalom was fun because you could go full throttle through the last section to make up for having to be so patient for the begining with the big offsets. The big sweeper from the outside to the middle and back to the outside was fun but I'm sure it scared the heck out of the workers.

A long slalom is good practice, it helps you learn where the corners of your car are even if you mow down a lot of cones, right Omid.

It was an ugly course that schooled me but I did enjoy the lesson.

I should point out one thing:
                              THEY ARE NOT FINAL/OFFICIAL RESULT!

They are correct in some sense but not all, kinda like my new year's resolution... "I'm going to make $2mil this year" where if I'm lucky $20

So sit tight, the official result should be out by this Fri.
