There is a D-Mod car available for a driver at this year's SCCA National in Topeka, Kansas. The rental cost is minimal (U.S.$100). The car is not a top contender but should place mid pack with a good driver and potentially could trophy if the driver is spectecular and is willing to buy the car a fresh set of Hoosier slicks (about U.S.$700).
There is a large group of Vancouver drivers going out this year. In fact, I think it might end up being the LARGEST group ever. If you have been thinking about experiencing the ultimate autox in the past, this is the rare chance which makes it possible. I think some of the faster VCMC members should seriouly think about this and decide fast (within the next 48 hours) inorder to secure the spot. You will need to take about a week off if you choose to fly out ( I will be flying out also) or you will need to take 12 days off if you ride down (and share driving duty) with the group. The event runs between Sept.9 - Sept.13. See this link for details http://www.scca.org/amateur/solo2/nationals/index.html
