It's amazing to see Yarko beat me by half a second in damp condition (I was in the dry and had about 2 seconds on Sheridan)! I was lucky to have 2 dry runs to test out my Ground Control kit today. With the 3x stiff rear springs, I shouldn't have to be constantly aware (but I did anyways) of the back end possibly coming out suddenly. The back end is more stable now and I should be able to concentrate on other more important things. Well, next time.

I made a failed attempt at csp today, Lawrence. Umm, yes it was a bit frustrating of a day, but fun codriving with friends anyways!

It was a good course I think, It flowed pretty good. WHile walking the course, it seemed it would be tight, but at speed it was fine.

Of course in the morning Chris Chu runs a sub 46sec. But next heat Young Yarko comes out and pulls out the FTD with a 45.9. CLose to middle of the run in heat 3 for morning it start pouring and by the time the 1st heat for the afternoon started, there was standing water all over the course.

This was my first event in heavy rain and I couldn't believe that ppl could get away with some many moves that they made on the course that I would think u'd lose grip.

Thanks lawrence and everybody for the congrats . i had a fun day despite the miserable weather later on. The car felt really dialed in today. Darren was fantastic in the Talon (i was on course during his runs). it was like he was in a class to himself compared to the the rest of E/SP KUDOS!!Chris Chu's new setup looks great, the car looks more balanced on course and i think as he gets accustomed to it he'll go faster and faster zoom-zoom (good job putting that gap on the crx!)!Sead looked ready to kick butt as usual but promptly OBLITERATED a tire and that was that(just bad luck). looks like the fight for 2nd in C/SS is going to go right down to the wire this year with everybody driving really well out there today! i can't wait till CACC 7!

Yup that one is toast with 5 huge flatspots on it. If anyone wants to see all the inner layers of a Kumho Victoracer, let me know.
I guess I'll be keeping it and putting it up on the wall of the garage as a battle trophy!

Definitely Congrats to Yarko! I tried to catch him in the wet but failed. Oh and thanks for the kind words about my first run, but being in a different class from the rest of E/SP has got to more with FWD biased AWD than my driving. =)

                    Nicely put Darren.

Yeah, run group three really got screwed with the weather. For us RWD V8 folks it was like skating on ice and I'm sure Darren paid off Phil Eves to put in that 200ft drag strip start when he designed the course. Farzaan, you would have loved the course. A whole bunch of places to get up on boost.

Darren laid down an awesome first run, in the rain, and the rest of ESP just skated around, trying to figure out how to claw back 4 seconds. (We managed to claw back 2)

As for my experience, I was dropping tire pressures every run and finally felt comfortable on my third run. On my fourth run I actually managed to use WOT on one section. This will definitely be a throw away for me.

Also did anyone find the turn around at the far end (on the second time around) extremely slippery? It was all I could do to keep the car pointed straight coming out of the turn, but only on the second run. Strange.

I didn't think about it at the time, but if we'd had 120 cars like we've been having this year, the third run group probably would have had one dry run each. But with only 83 entries, we were done by 4:00pm, just as it was starting to dry out.

                    Oliver B.
First out of the trophies, ESP.

200ft drag strip start wasn't utilized well though... the only decent launch I got all day was the 4th run. First run was "supposed" to scrub tires so I street started, bogging huge. Although, I WAS surprised there was such a long start.
