I thought the event was great! A VERY BIG THANKS to Chris Chu for allowing me to co-drive his car once again, i had an absolute blast and learned alot. I'm glad most people seemed to enjoy mark and my course, -for those who didn't attend it was a slower and more technical than the last and rewarded smooth driving, a tight line and discipline!(as always). Kudos to the first timers and other novices for doing so well today! i saw many of you improving throughout the day as you took rides with, and tips from, our senior drivers, and saw some nice battles taking place!Congrats to all the event staff for keeping everything moving so smoothly
Swift DB1 Formula Ford - trophy collection machine (co driver)
2006 Lotus Elise - daily driver
2013 Cannondale CAAD 10 - cycling racer
1/4 of a Dodge Neon Chumpcar - because I didn't want to risk saving money.
1992 Acura Integra LS - for those other days (or when I need a trunk)
2014 Knox Mountain Hill Climb - King of the Hill
2012 Knox Mountain Hill Climb - New record FF1600, 2nd Overall
2011 Knox Mountain Hill Climb - Record holder FF1600, 3rd Overall.
2011 SCCA National Championship - 3 cars, 2 classes, I have no idea...

Positive:
Once again, the event was well organized and efficient - 9 runs a piece!!!
Things to improve on:
I don't know if there's already a policy on this or if there's a standard rule, but intentional off-course excursions should result in an immediate red flag and DNF. (I think we all know who I'm talking about here.)
Maybe this could be added to the list of safety items announced at the drivers' meeting.Racing: It's not just for rich idiots. It's for all idiots.

I second that.
Great day. 9 runs! NINE.
Did I mention 7+2=9 runs?
Great course, great fun and I'm really looking forward to next season (as I'm planning on competing)
Then only downside was the point mentioned above

I'd like to say that this was probably one of the best events that I've ever participated in. Not only was it run extremely well (nine runs with 74 cars *and* a 45 second track *and* finishing before 5pm!), but I also had some fun competition with Ming Yip in the Lotus.
Great event, great course, great organization, what more can I say, I'm so proud to be your president!

Two thumbs up to those who made this club practice so smooth, efficient and successful. I'm happy even though I got beaten in my own car. That means it was worth my day-off Friday to get my suspension revised once again (see my thread on the miata forum). It's good to have a beta test driver for my new setup. It gave me a chance to see how you did the magic in my car, Yarko.
It's also kind of fun to watch my car in action from the outside. Man, my car corners flat even though it doesn't feel like so from the inside!
I'm also glad to have a chance to drive Farz's Porsche 911 Turbo. The understeering car's characteristics is totally extreme to my oversteering car. My car is light. Power comes out quick but not much. The Porsche is more stable and power comes in late but in big amount. However, I don't think the understeer is bad. It just takes some get use to and a different driving line/style. I like the rotation I get from lifting. It feels good at the slalom. Excellent braking. And when the power comes on, IT COMES ON! I can see that it'll be a good track car!
Back to the feedback stuff, I think that a course with this length (time-wise) is good for a club practice. I prefer to get 7 40s-runs than 4 70s-runs. That way people can get more rides/drives in others' cars. It's also better for test-n-tune on both car setup and driving experiments.
Forgot to mention about the course. Yes, another fun and instructive course (rewards smooth inputs). Now that I've got the suspension kind of dialed in. It's time to work on my driving.

Although I didn't join in myself today, I had a great time watching and getting a few passenger runs. Thanks to Terrence for a couple of rides in his 325. I can't believe how quick he was with me and 2 other passengers along with him! That car just grips!! Thanks Chris for the passenger run in your Miata, which also grips, just not so much at the rear endAnd thanks to Franco for the ride in his Corvette.
Well I don't think I could have had a much better day, and I will definitely be down again to give this a go myself next time round.
Thanks
Michael
