ok to invite non-member SPECTATORS to a closed club event?

I've posted a thread on northwestnissans.com inviting people to come out and see for themselves what autocrossing is all about. I'd like to see more of the Nissan guys out there on the track and I have a strong fealing the'll get hooked as soon as they experience it.

I just want to make sure it's ok to invite non-members to these closed club events. (if they decide to run they will become a member first of course)

Also, is there anything I should let them know?

Park outside the gates? 30km speedlimit on the airport. Obey the posted road speed limits.. Sign the insurance waiver.. Anything else?

We always encourage people to invite their friends to events. You've pretty well covered all the basic points.

The thing to remember is that you are ultimately responsble for their conduct while on-site and around the area. There are usually designated spectator areas.

I don't believe there's a minimum age restriction for spectating. Although they should be responsible enough to stay in the safe areas and not get into trouble if unsupervised. See Cliff's post, you are responsible for your guests' safety and conduct. General walk-in spectators should remember to sign the safety waiver and conduct themselves accordingly. Children and speeding cars aren't too compatible.

The rules we have for kids (usually up to age 12) is that you cannot have children in the grid areas while competition is under way. There are safe viewing areas on-site. Common sense and responsible parenting should always apply.

If you do bring a small child, as I did on Sunday, be prepared for him or her being more interested in the planes than the cars.
