Quick question about plates

Does anyone know if it is ok to drive ina closed club (tomorrow) with repairman plates on the car? My friends car is not insured but he has repairmans plates for it and wants to know if he would be allowed to race it. It is his car..(not stealing some customers nice car or something).

I personally don't see it being a problem as mod cars etc.. run out there without plates. As long as it passes tech, it should be fine. Getting the car to the site however is another situation. Hmm...... anyone else know?
