  • TARGA VANCOUVER ISLAND

After watching hearing and talking to people about targa newfoundland it is totaly apparent that we need a targa event on the west coast. The targa newfoundland was a great event for both racers, the locals, and local tourism. I heard on speed they needed like 1800 volunteers and help from globalstar satilite phones, and some help from the canadian forces. Of course it would be a mammoth undertaking but it's totaly doable. Just get together the guys that put knox together and the kumho super challenge and we'll have our very own Targa Vancouver Island .

seriously though i can't see anything wrong with vancouver island being the perfect venue for such and event

I saw that in Grassroots Motorsports a while ago and thought it would be a neat idea. Think of it as: VCMC Presents Targa Vancouver Island. Its a great way to bring motorsports back to BC on a large level.

I would compete in that event if it was put on..........many people would I think. Someone should call Ken at TotalAutosport, he organized the Pacific Forest Rally.

Yeah, i saw that on Speed channel. I luved the Viper that participated but the sure took a beating on the suspension and body.

It'be awesome if such an event can take place on this side of Canada as well.

I think the event is put on by a "for profit" company.
