    the powers that be,

I am figuring that the school session on august 11th is cancelled, so my question is; if you, the VCMC, still have the boundary bay area booked, could we have like an informal closed club, for those of us who are looking for some seat time? I would love some more instruction, but in lieu of that could we just play for the day? or maybe have a weekend closed club?

    just my $0.02

btw cliff. that silver RS with a hand out the roof on pacific was me!

i just want to say thanx to the organizer(s) of the second driving skewl (bernie and whoever else helped him)!!! and also to cliff for giving us 'newbies' the compressed classroom session

altho my times weren't decreasing consistently throughout the day, the seat time was priceless for me to get used to my new wheels, smooth out my inputs and to realize that LFB IS a faster style for me (cliff, i'd love for you to ride w/ me and let me kno how i'm doing w/ my LFB)

    thanx all!
    - Zach

ps soon to be known as "lego maniac" thanx to matthew

yeah.. thanks to cliff for going over the class in a short time (it's ok, i think 20% of us have run before, the stuff we needed was stuff like apexing, traction, and "smoothness with precision and control"..hehe)

thanks to alex for the ride along and pinpointing that I'm not agressive enough..

thanks to gerald? for helping me scrub 5 seconds off..

too bad i had to work at 2:30/3pm.. at least tomorrow (sunday) i'll have the whole day free.

Definitely a great two days of autoxing.

Looks like we have quite a few good students who learn fast!

I'm glad that most of the newbies got good info from the lecture. I wasn't sure I could compress all the stuff into such a small time frame. If you forget some/most of it just remember - smoothness, precision, control.

I'm no expert on LFB and it's something I use only part of the time and/or depending on the car I'm driving. Some cars respond well while other simply go slower when using LFB. I can ride along to check your technique but I'd recommend that everyone get used to doing it the 'old school' method first until you see no improvement in you times. Only then should you move on to LFB. You should be able to do it both ways so that you can jump into any car and be fast.

i've practiced LFB on the street a lot so i'm fairly smooth but not perfect by any means. w/ the new kumhos on (or maybe it's just the full tank of gas i'm lugging around in the back ), i can get and feel the car rotate around a lot more when i LFB/trail brake.

i can't drive stick (altho i want to learn) so i doubt i could jump into many cars at autox and be fast. w/ all those pedals i think i need matthew to show me which one makes it go faster

i should work on my RFB tho because my times are significantly slower w/ my right foot than my left foot for some reason
