  • Questions about Slush on Jan25?

Hi! I am planning to attend the Slush on Jan25 and I have a few newbie questions:

    1. Is Slush=Practice Event?

    2. How much and where? and when?

    3. Do I need a hemlet?

    Thanks a lot.

May I ask will there still anyone there if I arrive at 1pm? Can't make it at 8am.

Does the loaner helmet cost anything (I meant rent)?

      Thanks.

if you want to race you need to be there at 8-9am.
To register and get your car teched. If you're
late you dont get to race, but you can ask people
if you can ride with them...

The event will be half over by around 1pm, so try to make it early if you can, it's worth it

Loaner helmets are available and free, but there is only a limited amount available. Do what I do and grab one before you even have line up your car.

The slush series is not a VCMC hosted event, so if you have any further inquiries, they might be able to help you further.

So that's why everyone is always scrambling to find a helmet?
Shouldn't you have a helmet by now?

                  Please don't mis-understand our point.

Sead and I only go againest your idea of "Do what I do and grab one(helmet) before you even have line up your car."

I think I was being unclear in my original message.

By, "before you even have to line up your car", I meant just before you move your car into grid. I have never and would never do something inconsiderate like taking a helmet when I am not even running.

                    Apologies for being unclear

Sometimes there are more people in grid who need helmets than there are helmets. I would suggest that those who need a helmet grab one about 4-5 cars before your run, and then put it back immediately after your run for others to use.

Where's the best (read:cheapest) place to buy a Helmet? Any good places in Richmond?
What price should I expect to pay for 1?

I just got 1 from Lordco today, but it doesn't have the Snell 2000 on the inside only the outside. Is this still fine?
And the sticker doesn't look like any from the link you posted.

The sticker may be hidden behind the lining. Search around and you should able to find it. The tech person will need to see that sticker. Point the sticker out to the tech person if it is well hidden so they don't need to search around for it as well.
