  • Question about BCMA and UBC autoX events

Can VCMC participate in BCMA or UBCSCC club practices? What is the etiquette in joining their practice sessions? Thanks in advance.

edward, bcma wkend events are open this yr, so no need for membership. come race on sun. 4/11 for $25. no prereg; just show up at 8 or so.

ubcscc practice events are closed club but they have rock bottom pricing: 20 for membership, 20 for event

since all clubs host CACC championship events, we encourage our members to participate in UBC/BCMA events to see how things work in other clubs b4 the big event.

Open yourself for some very different & interesting course designs

Club practice event are usually restricted to club members. Maybe other clubs will give you a free event when you're a new member, but you'll have to check w/ them first.

Anyone can enter Open events you don't have to be a member of any club.

If this is your rookie year, I'd encourage people to get as much exposure as possible both locally and across the border w/ SCCA-NWR or WWSCC or CSCC. More seat time = faster/better driver.

Just to reiterate: All BCMA events are open this year (except the Tues night solo series). This means anyone is welcome to come, no membership is needed. $25 entry fee for all BCMA events. Come out this Sunday, the weather is going to be great...

It's still a ways off but I'll probably be attending the Bremerton National Tour this year. Anyone else going? Maybe I should start another thread for that.

a BIG difference is that cacc allows 1 preparation point for a solo2 stock car. scca does not, and i don't recall them allowing "point trading" (eg. a fire extinguisher trades for a prep point), at least in stock classes.

so michael show us what a true stock 88 tercel ez can do =).

                  Grrrrrr

I just packed away my rear seat in exchange for the fire extinguisher .

                  SCCA Stock rules

^^^^^^^I don't see anywhere that says I can do the point exchange, so I guess I'll do the BCMA event on Apr 18 instead of CSCC (unless I get energetic & put the seat back if there's gonna be a lot of local's heading down )
