    Anybody going on Saturday?

  • #2
I will be there with Gary. I have also invited a guest driver to test drive the Phantom. My son and daughter will be there too.

I heard they changed site. They will be using the area right next to the regular runway.

      Joe,
Do you mean at the motorcycle and police training area? That would be interesting as that part of the runway is in much better shape.

I should be going but I don't know if Artemis will be (assuming anyone even knows who we are .

Just one question for those who have more time in:

How mechanically sound does your car have to be for tech? Can I run my mustang with a blown head gasket? I am getting it rebuilt starting on the 15th so this would be my last chance to overwork this motor.... Other than the head gasket, the car is mechanically sound so I don't think it would be a danger to others. If not I guess I will have to drag the Miata out again

Question: If it blows up, will you hold up the event while people clean the crap off the course? Answer: usually yes. Second question: Can you get home if the thing blows up.

          IMHO, bring the Miata

                Good point Cliff.

Getting home if it dies shouldn't be a problem as I have learned from my MG days but I guess it would make a bit of a mess on course if it gets pushed too hard. I suppose I can live with the girly car

(Edited to add a link to the event info)

                As posted by Bryan:

I'd like to add something very important to this. Anyone attending this event is reminded to be extra conscientiuos about respecting the site and the general rules of conduct. Apparently it's being held at the PTEC lot adjacent to our regular surface. The Site is being secured for us on a TRIAL basis. Since the Police and motorcycle training organizations use this lot, we need to keep it clean so they don't complain and then we risk losing both lots.

I'll try to get out to the event but sorry to say i can't compete. I need a new ecu in my car and no one has it. Might have to get one from a auto wrecker in the states cause every place in Canada doesn't have any.

                    See ya out there!

I'm looking for the ecu or the main computer in my car. I can't find it anywher. I've tried all the auto-wreckers across Canada but they can't seem to find any. My ecu is really hard to find cause its a california model whith whith different serial numbers which are # A11-A25G37K. I can't buy a new one because they delerships dan't make them anymore and if i could it would cost me $800 big ones. There are some in the US for about $60-$100 US. Some one emailed me and say they might have one for me so i'll see if i can get it.

Also: Any one have an idea of how many people are comming to the event on saterday?

With you two not being in Kansas this year, any thoughts as to who'll take A/M - Bowland?
