I'm glad to hear many enjoyed themselves this weekend. I would like to thank Alex, Henry, Matthew and all the cone getters for helping tear down and set what seemed to be 10,000 cones over the weekend. I was disappointed with the lot situation and the pavement surface inconsistencies both days. Saturday IMHO was worst because the first group had very little grip due to the dirty concrete (well that's my "final answer" as Henry killed me by almost 2sec when he ran in the last group). The Sunday course also had its quirks when you run from concrete to asphalt and back. I had much higher speed plans for the far side, something that would of allowed my fat car to get through quicker but there just wasn't enough time to fine tune it. The far end of the 8 cone slalom was the worst asphalt area for grip, it fooled me on my 1st run outbound, and inbound on the 3rd run where I got messily lose. And then a cone on the 2nd run didn't help to end my day, but that's racing.

Congratulations to all the BC Champions!

I would also like to extend thanks on behalf of the Calgary Sports Car Club Members that make the trip.

Reijo, Eric, Peter, Brian and myself all had a great time. Hopefully we will be back next year to show that we really can pull some 'clean' runs

I also hope some of you will make the trip to Alberta again next year.

    Ryan

Thank you to the B.C. Championship organizing committee for putting on a great weekend, I had a lot of fun competing, and I especially enjoyed spending time with new friends I've made since starting autocross last season.

    Thanks,

    Guido

I really enjoyed announcing for the Stock run group. The SS, GS and HS competition was great. All of the students from the Evolution School put in some great driving.

I for one didn't drive well this past weekend having brain-washed with push-steering. "Wouldn't it turn more if I push more on the handle bar?" I also made a bad decision of pushing hard on the last run on Sunday. All I needed was to shave .01s. Even stopped at the fastest section to let the worker pick up my cone, I still managed to shave .3s.

On the other hand, Sheridon drove really well in his CRX. He's a good driver all along the season but he hasn't had decent tires until sunday, turning an incredible 44.7s.

Terence on the other hand also did a very good job over the weekend. Over the years, I've seen people gone from stock to SS/SP but turned slower times. It's not easy to modify a suspension and have it set up right, especially in a short time without much testing. I can see that Terence is getting the commendation over the weekend like I had at SIR. It's not easy to make a 3000lb 4-dr sedan dance around the slalom like a nimble sportscar and make 5 second improvement on an autox course.

There are also other people who did well this past weekend but I missed their runs. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks for all who put up a great event!

Careful when comparing PAX numbers. Some of the US guys like Mike Luety were running in the respective SS class with stock cars. The mod classes also don't line up with SCCA.

Must've been great driving on a great course design, the top 25 indexed times are separated by 4 seconds... that's two cones.

Rob and Henry drove outstanding this weekend. I really was hoping to pip Henry on sunday, but it didn't happen.

I didn't get much of a chance to see people drive, who drove well, who didn't this year?

One run I did see and have no idea how it happened, but Johnny's last run on Sunday was outstanding.

    Ditto!

The food was good, everyone was happy, and my table got dessert first.

The event on Sunday was good too, wonderful day - as usual.

Thanks to everyone who organized it!
