Hello all,
Please RSVP to this post so we have an idea of how many people are coming to the event. This is not a pre-registration list. Even if your name or your friends' names are not on this list, we will gladly allow them to run as long as they show up and register before 8:30 AM on site, on raceday; as long as they arrive on time, we will never turn away a club member. Please provide your name, car, class and whether you are currently a member or not. Use this format:
Name: Farzaan Kassam
Car: Porsche 911 Turbo
Class: A/SP
Member: Yes
The event will run as follows:
Tech and registration: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
Driver's meeting: 9:00 AM Sharp
First car out: 9:30 AM Sharp
During the worker rotation, please be as quick as possible. If you don't know where you're supposed to be, please ask an official. More time spent rotating workers, the less time we have to race
Please take a moment to get familiar with the new registration and tech procedures:
Registration/tech procedure:
1. Driver signs waiver before entering premises.
2. Driver lines up at registration desk.
3. Registration checks license, membership, CACC, car ownership, age, etc.
4. Registration takes payment unless the driver is on the list provided by Membership Director of new member's first free Closed Club event.
5. If member is on the free entry list, the list is to be checked off and the computer is to show that they paid $0.
6. If memebr is not on the free entry list, the computer is to show payment amount and method.
7. Registration provides the driver with run/tech card and course map.
8. Registration instructs driver to get the car teched and to go to the driver's meeting at 9:00am.
9. Registration reminds driver that they won't be able to run if their car is not teched. As soon as you get your paperwork, get your car teched. You do not have to bring your paperwork back, just keep it with your car for the grid person to collect when it's your time to run.
This is a change from the past; in the past, you lined up twice, once to get the paperwork and once to hand it in after teching. The grid person (runcard collector) will be checking to ensure that you had your car teched in the morning. Drivers whose cars have not been teched and have lined up in grid will be severely criticized
The changes have been made to streamline the registration/tech procedure. Everyone hates standing in line twice, so this was our solution to that problem.
Please be patient with the event organizer Alex Chiu as this is the first event of the year and glitches are not only likely, but probable.
The course map for Sunday's event can be found here.
Thanks,
